My car has had a white smoke coming out of the back of the enigne for about 6 months now. I brought it to a mechanic and he replaced a few oil seals and such.
I noticed this while i was changing the oil and havent noticed it before. im sure it been like that for a while. Anyone know what this is? Whatever it is, is torn all the way through!

 

IDK what that is, but my 99 ls1 has the exact same tear. I didnt notice it until after I read your thread and looked. Although my engine dosent smoke I'd still like to know what that is. Can Anyone help us?

 

It should be the rocker cover breather tube from the back of the rockers, if you can follow it around you should see it (its hard to see cause of bulkhead though). I dont think it should smoke as you can fit open breather filters, unless your engine is pushing oil out and it drips on headers (very unlikely though). Someone correct me if im wrong
