What size intake?
With fuel injection you can go as big as you want, but the bigger you go the slower your throttle response will be. The biggest most people go with a car that is running the street is 90mm, but if you do that you'll need an intake manifold to accommodate for it. You won't really need any more flow than the stock one until you're making some good numbers (probably 400+ RWHP).
How much better is a Fast intake than the LS6? It's kinda pricey and I've heard nothing but good about both. Should I just get an LS6 one until I actually start making some hp?
the FAST is better for a couple reasons. better flow and cooler intake temps. However, not worth the extra money unless you intend on doing some other big mods. the ls6 will suffice. I cant tell u exactly how much hp the ls6 intake can support, but its plenty. for example, full exhaust, rear w/ gears, a big cam, and a 150 shot was all it took for a guy I know to run 10.50's at the track. this through an ls6 intake. if u dont plan on going too much faster than this save ur money.
