Default what am i likely to run at the track/got 1/4 #s after running my car now

2001 automatic SS with nitto 555R dr, cai, full exhaust and lt headers, slp lid, new autolite plugs, a custom tune, subframe connectors, and a strut tower brace making 316rwhp and 341 rwtq. went to the track sunday made 5 passes first time with this car at the track. My best time 13.31 at 107 mph 60' was 2.3 does this sound about right

with those mods i would say like a 12.8, but the 316 horepower makes me think more like 13.2 at best

Why do you guys put so much stock in his dyno numbers? I know it's thing we have to go off of, but I have seen dynos be off by 10+- rwhp before due to several factors. Being that he has a drag radial there is no reason he can't run a 12.8 or better. I ran a 12.5 @ 110 mph with less mods.

I tend to agree with JD. The dyno is really a tuning tool. People tend to look at peak power, but it is the average power/torque through the RPM range that makes the car move. Also, a lot depends on the driver, especially the 60' time. Practice and good technique makes a big difference. Also, different dynos give different results, usually Dynojets show more power than Mustang Dynos, and power readings change with atmospheric changes, but it really makes no difference because you don't win races on the dyno.

Whaty pressure are you running on the drag radials. I always let a bit of air out of mine at the track. Runs best with them at about 18 - 20 lbs. Why not take 2 lbs out and try it (take it slowly, a small step like this at a time -- reducing pressure changes the handling and you don't want to go too low for your car and tires).

You have the mph for a solid 12 second run, just get your 60 foot down. I run about 22-24 pounds in my BFG's, if you are on a 275/40/17 (stock size for your car) be carefull going less than 18 lbs orso, the tire will cup and you will spin more.
