Default Want to Upgrade my SS

i bought a 2001 SS auto about 2 weeks ago and now i want to explore my options for upgrading it. to be honest i know little about cars but i am learning. the car is stock with 100,000 miles. im looking for upgrades that will improve HP and acceleration but wont leave my car in the shop for days or leave my wallet empty. (however i will take all wallet breaking ideas for future use) basically what would be a great setup that i could look into. i appreciate the help

if u want cheap things that are done fast, u dont really have anything that will help out alot u could always try bolt ons! lol jk, aside from maybe a cold air intake, exhaust, perhaps change all fluids with somehting like Royal Purple or something and sea foam injector cleaners, in the long run you probably want nice cams and such.

Start off with a good CAI & full exhaust (Headers, Y-Pipe & Cat Back). After that you will have a good foundation to go farther down the mod list. It is key to get as much cool/ denser air into the engine & then getting the exhaust out as quickly & efficiently as possible. A good air intake & exhaust system will net good gains in power & aid in making as much power as possible with future modifications. (Heads/Cam/Tune/etc, etc, etc)

As Adam78 mentioned change out all fluids w- some fresh high quality brands!

Have fun

I suggest a Thorough search of the 4th Gen section.

Neither, do the CAI & full exhaust (Headers, Y-Pipe & Cat Back) that LHill00Z28 mentioned first, then think about next steps.

Default Want to Upgrade my SS

everyoneLike the topic claims, I seek to upgrade my computer. You see, althought I can play games like Team Fortress 2 on max graphics, some other applications tend to lag my computer, such as Hellgate: London also on max graphics, with DX10 on. And I want to be able to play all the new games even smoother than what the current ones are running at.My current spec is:9800 GX2 Graphic card4 GB of RamDuo Core 2,4 GHz/eachP5Q ASUS MotherboardWhat do you suggest I should aim to buy next? I can spend up to 325 euro. Thanks in advance
