Default Thinking about camming????

I'm thinkin about cammin my '02 ss. It has SLP air lid, lt headers, cats, y-pipe, power-flo,maf, ram-air, and K&N filter. I want a cam that will give me more power, but still be reliable! All the numbers are a little confusing to me, so I would rather just have someone tell me a good cam since I do know how to install a cam, butdon't know much abouttuning, etc. What are some good cams? And, what about tuning? Do you have to tune? Are there any cams that give good power boost but don't require tuning? I do want a rougher sounding idle, but no too rough. I would like most of the power to come in at the low-to-mid rpm range. I don't need the biggest, best racing cam, just something that is simple, adds good, noticable power, and is reliable!

Contact the guys at Texas Speed and they will set you up with what you need. You will need a tune with any aftermarket cam, and not just a hand held tune.
