Default speedchip

im looking at getting a preprogrammed speedchip for my z-28 2002. i looked at programmers, but look kinda complicated, anyone know what would be one of the best chips and not too expensive? also can i take my car to some place to get it programmed? and one more question, most chips are plug and play, so will the dealer know if i take the chip off or program it back to stock that it has been altered with?thanks!

The plug in modules, or dongles, that connect on the ALDL port only modify he PCM programing while they are plugged in, everything returns to normal when unplugged. The only problem is they are "one size fits all" and do not acomplish as much as possible. A better solution is to contact a PCM tuner, such as PCM FOR LESS, and actually get the PCM calibrated for max performance, according to what was done to your car. This is accomplished on an exchange basis, where you send them your PCM and they send you one back.
