oh yer it will, sorry i forgot you said you werent getting longtubes. However there are some generics on ebay for about $200 if you could wait a while and save for those then get the cats welded in those and then the y-pipe to that.

Is the slp y pipe welded to the cats? or can you undo them and attack the inside with a drill or a big stick lol

haha no its not directly connected to them, it stops a little less than 1ft before them, basically the cats are still connected to the stock pipes. and yeh that looks like the best thing to do rite now, just save up for some generics and get some better cats along with it.

ok now i'm rlly confused, yesterday i did a muffler delete and all the weird rattling stopped. I'm glad it did but i would like to know how taking out the muffler fixed the sound that was coming from the front portion of the car.

could be the cats are goin to pieces and the pieces blew out. from what u have been saying i would say the cats are pluged, pluged cat will quite the car and make a nasty smell. u can use the 3 inch just get the muffler guy to make a adapter that will slide over the cat pipe (so u can reuse) and have the other end the size of the exhaust pipe. let the guy know u want to use the cats for your exhaust upgrade at a latter time.

thanks craby that sounds like a good idea, i was also wondering if i could take off the cats and replace them with pipe then take one hiflow cat and put it where the y pipe combines into one pipe and still be able to pass inspection. and yes maudy its loud as hell, drone is crazy(i luv it) and its a great incentive to drive slower cuz i luv the deep bellow it make around 1.5-1.8 rpm it either that or the insane raspyness@ 4.8+ haha no middle ground, either really slow or really fast

your computer wants to see two cats and if they are working right. i think u are required to have the stock setup on 02 sensors and carb approved cats.

yep yep, just like mine

its all or nothing, i like the crusing v burble below 1800 like you say, then its just an animal up the top end !!!!!

Yer i didnt think the cats would be blocked but i think craby is right, i dont know about the single cat thing it may be too much of a restiction sending all gases through one.

with how it is now i don't think i'm going to invest in headers, its crazy loud as it is i get looks from cops and many annoyed ppl on the highway lol. but i think i'm going to replace my cats tho the smell hasn't gone away, and my service engine light has been up the past few weeks, the computer code says its low voltage on my O2 sensor in the cat, so does that mean its clogged for sure? the motor has 107k miles on it, i only use 93 octane btw(if fuel has anything to do with it)

if thats the code then id defo say its blocked.

funny you say everyone looks, now imagine me over here in UK where everyone had 4 bangers, the riced ones with crap fart cans but there not loud, But V8s are very rare, usually seen only in a refined bmw or merc, anyways then there is me with my stupid muscle car with no mufflers, the only car that makes a noise on the whole road, enough to blow your head off on the motorway (highway) so everyone is like wtf!! its awesome, i love it. My pal once said he heard an awesome car on the highway coming from like a mile back, and it turned out it was me after he saw the car.

anyway enough of my rant, get yourself a race cat stuffed in there.
