Default SLP Lid latch problem

Hey everyone! I bought and installed the SLP Flowpack kit. A while back. I didn't have any hood bump stops and the latch on the lid kept coming up. But I figured it was b/c the hood was hitting the lid b/c of no bump stops. But now I have brand new bump stop and have adjusted them to the point where if I make them any higher the hood won't latch. My hood seems to have plenty of clearance but the passenger side latch seems to keep popping up and it messes with the idle and running of the car. It pisses me off b/c I have to stop and open the hood, push the lid back, and relatch the latch. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you!

The SLP lids either fit or don't lol. My SLP lid pops off a little bit in the back. Part of the problem is the rubber gasket running around the edge of the air filter. You could see if that is causing the lid not to close all the way and trim the rubber.

Of course it does! You need to tuck in the front lip into the actual box to make it stay.

The front of the lid lip tucks in behind the front of the base -- if this is not done, it will not close properly.

So the front lip of the lid is supposed to tuck in behind the bottom box?

^ Exactly -- everyone seems to mess it up at first.

Even the SLP instructions fail to call this out.

Yeah! Seems so! On mine the front lip of the lid goes over and in front of the bottom box. I'll fix it tomorrow. How should I do that? Should I roll the lip in or what? I'm an Engine person not very good with plastic lol! Thanks for all of the help so far man!

You just pop it in, simple as that. Like tucking in your shirt.

It's not that simple. It acts like it's as far back as it will go, it won't go back far enough to tuck behind the bottom lip!
