Our cars do not use "chips". They use a either a hand held programer or tuning software via a laptop. Hand helds will not get you much if any HP, about the only thing they are good for is recalibrating the speedometer after a gear swap. If you don't have many mods I suggest holding off on any tuning untill after you do all the bolt ons and a set of long tube headers (honestly I would even wait till you swap cams). Then go get a proper dyno tune, it really is the right and best way to tune these cars.

JD.....i dont plan on making my car crazy fast i just bought a borla cat back and probly in the future a full exhaust but my Z has the governer on it. Is getting a pro tune the only way to bypass the governer or is there a cheaper way. Like i said my cars an everyday driver so i dont wanan go crazy with mods but topping out at 115 is a joke, the cars got a lot more.

The ONLY way to go is to get it custom tuned at a speed shop. The best way is on the DYNO so they know your car has reached maximium potential with the mods you have. If you get another PCM ECU whatever you want to call it, they can let you toggel it betweent he two.

Call & talk with them or take a trip down and visit them.

Anything you hear about a shop is purely hearsay until you see evidence and talk to both sides...

Get your upgrades before you have them tune your PCM ECU what ever you want to call it.
