Ok, need some advice and ideas on a problem!!

I have a 99 Z28 6Speed. As far as I know it has the Stock clutch and stock transmission. But when I am driving down the road the transmission sounds like it is roaring, usually over about 45mph. It's the worst when cruising in 6th gear at about 65-80mph! Does anyone have any ideas or advice on what could be causing it?

You didn't happen to put Esso gas in your tank, did you? lol
Have you checked the oil/fluid level in the trans?

Where is this located? Is it inside the Transmission Housing?

does it vibrate? can u feel it and if so where,,, seat of pants, steering wheel, shifter, clutch peddle? could be throw out bearing, universal joint, transmission failing.

There isn't any vibrations, it shifts smooth, clutch grabs and does not slip, it just roars really loud!

Its the bearing on right at the end of the shaft
I think this is the right picture. The symptoms are usually little to no noise in 1-4 and
more noise in 5th and 6th with even more noise under load in those gears.

I am assuming you checked fluid level already?

I just got home after my trip and have not had a chance to check the fluid level. I will tomorrow. So this Extension Shaft End Bearing is inside the transmission? And yes, those are the exact symptoms. Barely any noise in 1st-4th, then more noise in 5th-6th(and much more when under load)! But like I said, I will check the fluid levels tomorrow. I'm going to change the engine oil too. I got the Windows working thanks to RSSSCamaro. The solder points in the BCM were worn out. I re-soldered the points and now it works fine. Now all I have to do is get a new radio, new power steering pump, and find out whats wrong with the tranny. Then it should be done, until I repaint it!
