Ok so i have a 1999 SS SLP and its in amazing condition, only 53,000 miles on it... the temp runs about 210 maybe a little lower my question is what is the normal temperature on these cars? thanks

 

normal operating temp on any car is 180-210, but going a little over wont hurt the car

 

thanks... 210 seems a little hot, is there any reason they seem to run warmer than other vehicles?

 

well its a v8.but 210 is actually a good temp, if youre engine is too cold your car will run rich becuase when it is cold the fuel mixture wont be right.but if youre that concerned you can always get your fans tuned to come on earlier or install a manual fan switch.

 

ahh im not really worried about it cause for right now im not forced to drive it everyday but i ran it some today and seen that and was reallp hoping nothing was wrong but thanks for the help
