Default Need Help...ZO6 Chrome Wheels on 2000 Camaro SS

Ok Guys,

I did a little research and strongly believed the Z06 wheels will fit. However, do I need new brakes? Any other issues y'all can help bring up before I do it?

Thanks.

Thanks for quick reply Stix80. I was just worried about my current brakes giving out on bigger wheels and tires. Good news to me then according to you!

yeah again not that much of a difference the only big problem i could see is the rears being to wide to clear in the suspension in the back

yeah we are americas tire in cali im pretty sure but make sure they test fit the wheel before putting tires on and you should be fine you could even do it yourself just check that the wheel sits on the hub completely and isnt rubbing anywhere

Larger diameter wheels will have no affect on your brake's ability to stop the car, unless the new tires are noticeably larger in diameter. Larger diameter tires put more force on the brakes due to having a larger turning mass (think monster trucks as an exaggerated example).

yeah im gonna call bs if you take a car that has 15s on it and go to 22s youre brakes are gonna go quicker even if you stay with the same rolling diameter tire lots of people at my work have proved this fact
