I'm asking alot out of you guys right now with my qustions.

I'm want to get a 2000-2002 coupe camaro, t-tops-manual trans(Don't really now how to drive manual all that good right now), want to get it red or black, but will paint if needed, want to be a okay and clean car, I would like to have sounds and okay rims if could, and I just need to ask some qustions and I am going to need some answerss. The stuff at top is what I want in my camaro.

I'm in California, Los Angeles, South Central, I'm 19 and black with no tickets, been driving for a year.

I'm looking to put at most 1,000 dollars down paymen, and spend no more then 450 a month on payments, and no more then 300 on insurance a month.

I don't really know that much about cars and I currently drive a 2003 prius hybrid.

I can only say that be carefull and take the time to find the car you want. I don't advise painting one, black and red are very easy to find and having a car painted is a costly venture. The LS1 engines can run for avery long time so a car 50k on it is fine as long it has been well cared for. I would just keep an eye out at the dealers and in the auto trader mags.
As for Camaro don'ts.
Neons=no
body kit=no
20 inch rims=no
huge rear wing=no
Basicly the Camaro is an American icon of muscle, they are best kept simple and clean and focus on performance.
BTW I deleted your other thread, you don't need more than one asking the same exact thing.

 

I will want to put 20 inch rims on there if it's not a good ideal then let me know.

I also want the grill to be chrome maybe way donw the line when I can afford it. The reason for getting the 2000-2002 is becasue I like the bubble eye and grill rather then the other front ends of the older camaros.

No neons wanted, but why not.

Don't really know if I would want a body kit yet, but why not.

No huge rear wing, but why

And I don't really want a whole lot of power, it's already a fast car and I like the way it looks and I also want the stick shift.

I ask all these qustions becasue I all ways want to know the answer when there is a qustion about what should I do with my camaro.

 

To answer the why nots. Because it's a Camaro, not a Civic or a big SUV. I know that this all my opinion but 20 inch rims look stupid on a Camaro, it's kinda ghetto if you ask me (and you did). Not only will they hurt performance, but they will wear out the shocks and rest of the suspension rather quickly. BTW 98-2002 Camaros all lok the same, it's the 93-97 ones that have the front end you don't like.

 

Thanks for the help and everything, but I am going to get 20's on there because I am black and I like stuff like that. I know that it messes up the suspensions and stuff, but not signifcly(Sorry for the mispell) to where it would be a must not and I know it also depends on how you drive it. I'm sorry if you don't agree with it, but it's just something I like and I hope you will still want to give me advice on what to do even though I do something you don't agree with. Thanks for the info anyways.

 

It's your car man, do what you want with it. I was just giving you my take.I'll still try and help when I can, but one thing to remember is that most guys that are into these cars don't like big rims and stuff like that, most are into performance, but don't let that discourge you.

 

Thanks men. I'm happy you understand that people have their own opinions on what they like. Some people would make a big deal and I'm a grown man and don't have time for that stuff like I assume how alot of people on here feel also.
