Yes, could do it for under $10K easily. People have been getting 500+ RWHP N/A with heads/cam LS1s for a while. You don't need to stroke or bore either.

Thanks so much for that. For the complete nuts here in Canada were looking at 11-12 grand just for the parts alone. I will be doing the work myself regardless of what I choose to do. I love working on cars, even though I have very little experence with the internals, this is a great opportunity to learn more and that would be fun too. Thanks again guys for all your helpful advice. Please fell free to message me if there is anything else you think I should know about.

I'm sure depending on the mods you have done will matter but they seem like a logical choice. Are they better then the LS6 intake? I welcome all opinions on this.
If you plan on going big NA power i would recomend going with the FAST intake. There is no better intake on the market for a LS1/LS6 engine and it does live up to its reputation. If you plan on going FI (Forced Induction) just keep the LS6 around as your blower or turbo will have no problem moving air down the intakes neck.

Did you do anything to clean up the engine bay in your car?

if that aimed at me??

Yep i stripped the cold packs off, degreased the engine with wd40 and many rags/cloths, i un-did everything that i could and took it out and painstaikingly clead everything by hand and polished the rocker covers and other aluminium items with metal polish.

You can spray the engine clean but i dont do that , its gets water where its not suppost to be ( in my oppinion). Oh and I sanded and painted the coil cradles in red, detailed some other bits in red

Yes sir. Thanks for replying maudyz28. I was curious to know if you did more then just take the plastic shrouds off the motor. The engine bay looks very nice on your car. Just out of curiosity, did you order your wheels from a place in the UK? I'm looking for a set of sweet wheels to put on my pewter color camaro. Just was wondering if you had some recommended websites to check out for wheels.

thanks dude. With regard to the wheels they are second hand genuine bmw m3 alloys from a 04-05 M3, there are loads around over here and i got the set off ebay for £300 and tires are around £100 each. I dont really know any wheel place im affraid as i just found out what wheels have the same stud pattern 120 pcd, as the maro and it turned out the BMW wheels from like 1995 onwards are the same. It would have cost me $1200 for some replica z06 wheels from the US so i opted for these bmw one.

Im gonna give then a respray when im home and do them gloss black and possibly leave the lips polished but we'll see how the paint turns out
