i got a 99 camaro ss have catback slp exaust and intake on it now. was looking to get some headers but dont know to much about them which are a good pick. also looking to be able to pass PA emmision tests.
some advice would be aprciated

 

What is the test like in PA? If you have just a code check (like we do in IL) you can put whatever you want on there (LS1 edit and HP tuners will both eliminate any trouble code). If you must have cats then MAC mid lenths are ok, or you can put long tubes with high flow cats but that gets into some pretty custom work that not many shops are willing to do.

 

we have emission in TN and they look under the car and hook it up to the comp.. oh yes and do a gas cap test .. takes 15 mins tops so im looking to do headers and Y pipe .. i have Magnaflow so not sure what i what to get Kooks or Hookers ?

I have seen many dyno's with cars who have just swapped headers, I have actually seen pacesetter, and edelbrock headers pick up more of a gain mod for mod then kooks and other high dollar header.....if you are looking for a header that will pass emission and not drop a crap load of money go with some pacesetter, I can get them starting at $279.99, I also have some edelbrock victor race series header that are stepped out to 1 7/8" primaries with all the hook-ups for $349.99
