Default Less power??

Well I have an 85 with a 2.8. I plan on getting the LS1 but now that i think about it, I was wondering if im going to be getting the same power because isnt the 98-02 modles lighter than my car? I still will probably get one because they come stock with more horsepower than a 350 and you can do alot more mods. Besides its cool here when noone knows what you have in it.

If they're lighter, it's not by much. The LS1 is a great package. The engine is considerably lighter than a 350 which will probably help Your cause. Make sure You use all the components like computer, Fuel System, Etc. Good Luck.

Will my gas tank work, or will i have to change that out too? I was hoping to keep the same one and just change out the lines and the injectors. Would i have to change out the driveshaft or will i have to take that out of the other camaro too?

I believe you can keep your gas tank just swap out the fuel pump for a hight flowing pump since the 2.8 dosen't flow as much as the LS1 does. Other then that the lines and change your fillter and you should be good. But you also have to worry about fabing up new mounts for the motor its going to take some fabrication to get that LS1 in there.

Also clearance issuse that LS1 is a pretty good size motor your going to have to work with the fire wall and all the other assesories inside the engine compartment.
