Default Install of Meziere Electric Water Pupmp (LS1)

Pump model WP119 for racing applications
Pump model WP319 forstreet applications

GM LS-1 Electric Water Pump WP119 (racing use)

In The Box

1 Pump
6 8mm x 1.50 x 30 stainless socket head bolts
6 5/16 AN washers
1 Wiring harness w/ 20 amp fuse
2 Contingency Decals
The inlet fitting must be ordered separately to match your lower radiator hose or AN fitting

To Do the Job
* Scraper or wire brush
* Brake cleaner
* Sealant; Form A Gasket (Aviation), Form A Gasket 2 (Non-Hardening), Gaskacinch or RTV silicon
* Thread sealant: RTV silicon or liquid pipe thread sealant
* 6mm hex socket
* Inlet and outlet fittings (a WP1125 inlet fitting is required for the water outlet)
* Spanner wrench or see Inlet section for substitute procedure

Mounting (Current design will not clear with stock power steering mount (Camaro/Firebird) and stock alternator mounting on Corvette. Redesign scheduled for release January 2002.

Remove stock water pump. Clean and degrease gasket surface. Be sure to coat both sides of the gasket with recommended sealant. Tack gaskets to back of the pump and align gasket to bolt holes. Apply a small amount of sealant to the threads of the hardware provided to prevent leaks. Bolt pump in place. Run all four bolts up snug before tightening to recommended 25 ft/lbs.

Inlet/Outlet
Our hose inlets are designed to be tightened using a spanner wrench. We understand that not every mechanic owns a spanner wrench. The job can be done using a pair of drill bits placed in the spanner holes and a screwdriver bridged across the drill bits. It is necessary to use a small amount of RTV silicon or liquid pipe thread sealant on the 1” pipe threads of the inlet and the plug to prevent leaks.

Wiring
The BLUE wire connects to positive ( + ) ignition (Key On) or see attached diagram for auto/manual selector switch.
The BLACK wire connects to chassis ground or battery negative ( - )
TO AVOID MOTOR FAILURE, be sure to use the fuse holder supplied with the harness or install your own 15 to 20 amp fuse and holder. WARNING: NOT USING A PROTECTION CIRCUIT CAN VOID YOUR WARRANTTY.
Running
Fill the cooling system. Replace fill cap and turn on pump. Remove fill cap and top off coolant level. Recheck level after one heat cycle. DO NOT RUN PUMP DRY for more than a few seconds.

Beauty Tip
Your pump comes to you polished with Meguiar’s Cleaner Wax. An occasional waxing will allow dirt or debris to be wiped right off the pump and also offer some protection fr
