i have 1,000 dollars what parts can i get that give the most horsepower

You're going to want to get a CAI/lid (brand of your choice), headers (pacesetters are good on ls1s), a y-pipe (off-road if you don't need to worry about emissions), and a cat-back. That'll more than likely use up all your money, and you'll be ready to start doing serious modifications.
