Default HYPERTECH VS DIABLO PREDATOR

Hey i was interested in buying a programmer for my car. Its a 01 camaro ss i have got a slp air lid and kn air filter and i was wondering which programmer was the best for the money and the horsepower gainS.

Your car is basically stock, and the factory has already done a pretty good job of tuning it. The best you can expext, even with a dyno tune, is at most another 10 HP. A dyno tune will run anywhere from about $ 400 to $ 1000, depending on geographic location, and local competition & demand.

Don't worry about a tune untill you at least do a cam swap.

I agree with what they said but if you want to buy a programmer I would suggest the Diablosport. The hypertech is ok it will at least improve your gas mileage and allow you to check your DTC any time you want. I would however say that my friend has a Diablosport for his GTO and for $20 more you can do a lot more like check your engine performance while you drive and adjust more things than with the Hypertech. Also you can download updates from their website any time they have one. To clarify I am not telling you to buy one or the other that is against forum rules. I am just stating what experience I have with both of them directly and indirectly.
