ive drifted a few times at a couple of courses, and im pretty good at it, but its not as fun as drag racing.
every time you get a worth while race, drift style you burn up tires and suspention real fast.
besides i like pure traction acceleration, you have to think and react much faster.

I don't drift for fear of losing control of my baby (Camaro) around a corner I would be devasted if anything happened to her. So thats why I don't drift besides I'd probably be horrible at it anyway. Just as Shaker said Im into the pure traction acceleration as well

Well, to me drifting, in the sense of sliding around on wet pavement can be fun at times, but not worth the money and stress it puts on the car. Not to mention I hate all ricers with a passion, even if its just a stock honda civic, and to me, its somewhat of a ricer sport, even if domestics rule it in the US..

Drifting is a silly and slow way around a corner. If you want to travel fast you need traction and no wheel spin. Drifting only makes sense on dirt tracks. Besides it is a good way to dent up your car. Ever see a F1 car drift on purpose?

Drifting is the automotive equivlant of figure skating. It's not racing if they juge you for style. Racing is about being the fastest around or down a track. I will say that drifting does take skill, but it's still not racing.
