Hey everyone,
I have been looking sometime now for a mustang, but I have my heart set on a 99 ss. I stumbled across a 99 ss. Do these cars pretty much smoke gts? How reliable are these? Would I be taking a chance with getting one with 50k miles ss/z28? Also would I be better off with an auto or stick? Im prolly not going to be doing any major engine mods.

id say so..its not always the situation but generally they will kill a GT(stock for stock of course).a 99 s or z28 with 50k is reel nice and its deff below average mileage and i would go with an automatic.there a tad bit faster than the sticks cuz the 1st speeds in a stick are crappy plus i get tired of shifting since its my daily driver(its really a matter of self opinion and how much you will be driving the vehicle 2)hope this helps

 

If you ever think your going to want to drag race the car get an auto and swap in a big converter, but if you think your just going to keep it stock a 6 speed is fun to drive. 50k is fine for miles mine had more when I bought it. And yes these cars will smoke a stock Mustang up the newest stly (05 and up GT) and then it's a pretty even match.

 

how much horsepower does an 02 t/a ram air ws6 make to the wheels? I heard its around 300 hp and 300 lb ft of torque is this true.

 

300+ is a normal number for the 01/02 cars.
