Default Exhaust??

Alright I'm trying to liven up the maro a little so I switched the slp muffler for a 40 series Flowmaster, I must say Im rather dissapointed. I was expecting that "my car will eat you car" growl. And its quite subdued. Guy at the muffler shop said cut off the cats and use o2 simulators, but Im worried about back pressure. Does anyone have this setup, if so hows the performance. Also any bada$$ exhaust that just sounds sick would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

I don't know what you are looking for but from a few of my friends is flowmasters are disappointing. I have Borla exhaust with a Y pipe and cutout and with the cutout in it is realtively quiet but take it out it is a completely different monster. I don't know performance but my gas mileage improved a little my guess is that if you cut the cats off you will get what you are looking for

Have you noticed any difference in your low end torque when the cut out is out?

I really can't tell you but I would guess that low end torgue would be about the same but if it was any less it would be minimal. The back pressure is less but it will help you out on the top end. Also if you cut the cats you will not pass any emissions tests. It might smoke a little too.
