Thanks for all the help everyone, I will take it in since i have my 100k check up coming up soon anyways, get all my plugs and what not replaced or fixed depending. I then will get the lid and filter etc. Why not just get the whole flow pack?

well its just my opinion, you dont need the huge metal thing, if you read that thread you can just do the cutout yourself so its like an extra $100 or something that you dont need to pay. Get some new leads and plugs for that price

Default what was the end result of this as my 93 lt1 is doing the exact same thing

share if you could your results. My Lt1 is doing the same thing. I put new plugs Autolite platniums and it just got worse. I have a cold air intake and it still feels as if it's not getting enough air. Is there a better plug to use? Heavy smell of gas. Time for a new Opti? Jspout

the flowpack has the directional piece for the air to come up from the ground, but in the thread that i wrote i cut out under the filter tray so it suck air up from underneath anyway. I personally wouldn't spend the extra cash on the flow pack metal bit, the hp gains are from the free flowing lid and filter

No, you want to get rid of that noise-reducing claptrap, and the smooth air bellows serves that purpose. If you want to cheap-out, you can do what you like, but if you are going to do something, might as well do it right -- not half hacked. Why would you get an LS1 if you were going to cheap-out?

liberty, i think you miss understand what i mean,

i have SLP lid, K&N and SLP smooth bellow. In the flow pack you also get a metal piece for under the radiator support mount that it instructs you to cut. Well essentially you can do the cutting and not have to install the metal piece as the air will flow up from the ground by itself.

Ill try get some pics later
