Whats best for the car and the best 1/4 time?Do you guys manually shift, keep it in drive or OD, 2nd or what? Ive been maually shifting mine from 1st to 3rd on the strip like its a standard but i dont know if i should be doing that or not.

 

Put it in D and leave it there, the computor controled 4L60E trans will shift when it needs to, manually shifting will not make it run a faster time.

but i have heard conflicting thoughts about drive vs. overdrive, i use drive and it looks like JD does too.

 

D vs OD does not matter, the trans will not shift into OD at WOT.
