Default '99 out of hood Turbo

Hi
I'm thinking of mounting my t76 high, and cut a hole for it in the hood so it would stick out, to gain some more room in the bay for piping and most importantly for the a/c compressor. (because the bay is without an engine or piping for the turbo for now i can't judge how much room i'll have)

My question is : would that be as doable as i think it is? And will it really make that much difference room wise?

Thanks alot
Ps: if you guys have any pics, that would be awesome! Cheers

In my opinion I just don't see the performance gain, and I don't think you will be able to make it look really good unless you get the hood molded to go over the turbo or around it, which is very expensive and hard to do if you don't know what you are doing. About the only thing that I think looks cool to come out of the hood on these cars is a shaker hood. Check out 6 Liter Eater .com this guy made a shaker hood setup that I like, that would about the only thing that I personally would make go through my hood.
