2002 Steering Wheel loose

Default 2002 Steering Wheel loose
Can anybody tell me why my 02 SS with only 70,000 miles has a loose steering wheel and would this repair be covered under GM. if not what would the repair or fix involve .

my cars wheel was loose its was the linkage between the wheel and rack i pulled the column out and slipped a business card in there to fill the gap now its good and tight
