1999 ss 5.7l camaro bad cat
I have a 1999 SS camaro with a V8 5.7L motor. The last of December I put new rear o2 sensors and new cats on the car as that is what the codes were showing. Now 6 months later my passenger side cat is bad again, this was the one that was bad the first time but I replaced both. The code came up again for bad cat and I was told that there was no warranty on cats as there could be numerous reasons that it went bad again???? As motor running to rich, but if this was the case would I not get more codes??? The only code I got was P0430. I have replaced both rear o2 sensors and I did run the car for a couple of months with a bad fuel pump and ascending unit but replaced those in March I believe. Does anyone have more info for me pertaining to the bad cat??? Did I get a bad one or did someone install a real cheap one or is there another problem I should be checking out??? Please advise, Thanks JT
