Would this help?

would a new air filter such as K&N give my car more horsepower? Because im getting a SLP CAI, and didnt know if i needed a new filter.

Only if You get the whole inlet kit going from the Mass Airflow Sensor to the filter. Worth about 15 or so horsepower. OEM is too restrictive.

Good ole CAI. Yes it would give it a SLIGHT gain. Most CAI's come with a new filter in the package.
