Default whisper lid

anybody know where to buy the whisper lid for a 98 camaro v6
lmperformance.com says its on back order and i didnt see any on ebay

Its cheaper to shave off the baffles on the stock airlid. All you need is a Dremel, sandpaper, and time. Do that and then get a good re-usable air filter like K&N. Thats what I did and I have no complaints. I believe there are even some stickies on how to do it in the 4th gen V6 section too.

agreed i did that process on my lid as with my assembly for my 98 z28 and put in in a k&n and i was surprised you could feel the little boost of hp it was worth the time

you list tbyrne as a choice, and I used to love them, but right now there are funny things going on with them. there has been much discussion about them on the other forums I frequent. I say stay away from them for now (actually you have no choice because they are "on vacation")

Thanks for the input. In fact I probably shouldn't have listed ftpp.net either. I bought something from them in mid-November, and have yet to receive it. Numerous calls and emails, no answers or responses. Let me edit that real quick.
