what headers for 84 H.O. motor
I have a 1984 Z with 305 HO motor and 5 spd tranny (std). I will soon willbe pulling out the motor to clean it up and installing a 700R4 tranny ( I'm getting old, LOL.
). I dont have alot of cash to play with, so I will keep the current motor for now and want to install a set of headers while its out that will work for a 350, at a later date, that will fit with the stock exhaust ( thats Stainless steel by the way)that I have. for those that are not in the know, yes I have the 3 inch exhaust, no I dont need the cat. converter and because of the computer yes need the oxy sensors. Thanks for info
.. I dont have an issue with replacing the converter with a bypass, if need be

sorry it took so long to anser this thread. My bad. basically what I am tring to do is get the car ready for a 350 ( 383 stroker) that will have a very deep sound to it and help performance as well. I dont care if they are long or short and there is no smog issues involved. in ohio, after 25 years its not an issue. and somewhat loud at idle, but not teeth rattaling. it sounds sweet as is in the stock form, just want more feel to it.
