Thinking about a Flowmaster
If I want the better sound all I have to replace is the Muffler? Sorry I'm a noob at this haha.
Also, I've seen videos of the 80 series and it sounds good to me. I'm running a 93' V6 looking for a little more agrresive sound.
Which one should I buy? http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/80_series.html

Ok...forgot one thing...how many tail-pipes do you have?
I had a stock dual outlet muffler so for me, all I needed was 1 flowmaster 80 series, I got a 2.5" inlet but if they make a 2.25" get it because you will not need 2.25" > 2.5" adapters, if they do not make a 2.25" then get a 2.5" inlet muffler and buy 3 2.25" to 2.5" adapters and clamps to secure them if you cannot weld...
However, if you only have 1 tailpipe right now, you will obviously need to get another one, summitracing.com has them

I believe it's only one it's a '93 stock V6. Could you link me to what i should get and also is this the right one? http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/pr...oducts_id=3358
Option A: If you want to have "dual exhaust" do this route
Muffler:
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku
Tail-pipes:
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku
and then you will need 1 2.25" to 2.5" adapter
Option B: If you simply just want a muffler and dont care about duals
just get a flowmaster 40 series to directly replace the stock muffler, if you do this buy a 2.25" inlet/2.25" outlet so you dont need adapters

I'm knida new to this stuff, and am thinking of doing this too. So if you have single exhaust and want dual exhaust. You just need a one in two out muffler, another tailpipe, and some adapters? About how much would this cost if I take it into a shop and have them do it? Would any welding be needed, or do you just use clamps? If I do this willI still be able to pass smog? This route is mainly for the dual look, and sound, and doesn't provide any performance upgrade? Is this how the RSs with the Y87 perf. package came from the factory, with a one in two out muffler and another tailpipe? Sorry about asking so many questions, but like I said, I'm just beginning to learn about this. Thanks.
