yea i think ill go with kooks longtubes and get a custom y pipe. i found a sweet performance shop 10 min from my house that specialize in custom works/welding etc.

most long tube headers need dual exhaust. but you can run a single, i dont think it would hurt. whatever you do, dont get heddmans. i got them and i had to jack up my engine, take out the starter, remove the dipstick, and on the other side, take out the oil filter and dent and heat up and bend the damn things. they fit now, but be carefulland look at all the details before you order them. i later found out that the headers werent made for the t-5 tranny but the autos. so check the fine print. plus when they were shipped, they were just in a box and no foam or anything was in there. the paint was chipped and they had dents, so they rusted faster.

A good set of LT headers and a Y pipe can support up to 500+ HP, so you don't need dual exhaust all the way back until you're making some serious power. I had to jack my motor and remove my dipstick and starter to get my Kooks in, I don't think it's too uncommon.

actually rksport and clear image make headers for the 3.8. although i heard the rksports leak. I was going to get the clear images but they are like $600 plus like $150 just for the "automatic" y-pipe. RIPOFF! im just gonna go with the armor coated pacesetters

i have another question.. i was looking at a package pacesetter has comes with LT's and catted y-pipe for pretty reasonable. but it doesnt come with gaskets, clamps, brackets, o2 sensors. im looking for a whole package that includes all of the above and so far ive seen that dynatech offers this. so now the next question.. does anyone know how good dynatech is? lol or if you have any suggestions on full header/y-pipe kits that would be awesome. thanks

You shouldn't need new O2 sensors, but you will need O2 sensor extensions unless you're handy with a soldering iron. Other than that I really haven't heard much about them.
