i cut off muffler on 84 z28 w/ 305.. i think back to my 240z's i put v8s in and i have never heard an exhaust so quiet without a muffler.. its got rumble to it but i remember friends being able to hear me a mile away coming down the road.. is the cats on these restrict that much sound. it doesn't seem right.. you cant even hear it in house when its in driveway..??? anyone the pipe was cut at muffler inlet. and dumps out right there. my cars with flowmasters weere louder than this.

 

yea, my buddy has an 84, Z28 he has a straight pipe where the cat was, and duel exhaust, his sounds pretty mean, it will definately be louder without the cat, but its not gonna sound like a race car or anything.
