Question Mufflers?

OK, as I think everyone knows by now I'm gonna get my Blazer home tomorrow. I'm planning on running a 3" dual exhaust system with an X-pipe, but I can't figure out what mufflers to use. I want it to sound aggressive, but not like a race car... it's a 383 with a nice off-road cam in it. Anyone ever use Flowtech afterburners? Any other recommendations? I don't want to use glasspacks cuz I'd like to NOT resrtict my exhaust that much.

I thought glass packs were free flowing? Hook two together with a tiny Y connector; you get both making an aggressive sound.

Lol... Just LOL.

Anyhow... I don't know anybody who personally used the Flowtech's so I couldn't say much. I'd just straight pipe it and interrupt the thoughts of Satan =D

lol, well, I'm thinking of tryin to fix an X-pipe or an H-pipe to quiet it down a LITTLE bit. I wouldn't even bother with mufflers if it wasn't for the fact that deer and elk don't take too well to REALLY loud noises... so I was gonna buy some for das hunting. I suppose I could buy some and only put them on for hunting, huh?

Well, I have a budget on the Mufflers is the problem. I would just get some flowmaster 40 series mufflers but I can't afford 2 $80 mufflers...

X-pipe = Loud as ****

What you do... Get 2 electric cut outs so you can wake the dead then set up an X pipe, cats, and a couple flowmasters for that muscle sound that everybody loves :P That way you still pass a sniffer/visual if needed

great thing about NM, no inspection. My truck has been without mufflers for a long time now and no one even notices.

I'd do cutouts with whatever mufflers you'd like. Flowmaster, Magnaflow, Cherry Bombs, SLP. Whatever That way you got a good rumble sound, but can wake the dead on command
