So my muffler has a hole in it and I'm looking for a new one. I'd like one that has a nice rumble to it, but not one of those that you can hear from the other side of town, if you know what I mean. Something that sounds nice but not really loud. Also I'm only replacing the muffler right now, I have the stock single exhaust you'd find on a V6. I also don't want to spend more than around $120. I was thinking of one of the Flowmaster series, maybe the 50 series delta? Also a few extra hp would be nice but it's not a priority. I'm not really sure on this so if anyone has an opinion on what might suit me I'd like to hear it.

 

Depending on were you live (salted winter roads), once the muffler goes the rest of the pipes are nor far behind.

 

Its sad but true. If your pips are good i would say a Flowmaster 80 series.

 

Thanks guys, yeah it never snows here in southern California so I think my pipes are ok for now. How loud would the 80 series be on a V6, and does it sound good or ricerish? :-D

 

80 series normally sounds very mellow and has a fair tone for the V6.
