right now, i have a magnaflow catback but its just not loud enough for me. i was wondering that instead of buying a new catback, could i just replace the mufflers for an slp bullett style one.

this would not be a theoretical problem if the magnaflow mufflers werent so different from the slp ones and just not sure how they would go on.....like clamp on or weld on....

slp loud mouth 1 or 2 are the loudest.borla is great.

 

i just asked if it was possible to switch out the magnaflow muffler for a slp muffler b/c im too cheap to buy an slp catback. not which ones r good

 

you can switch whatever you want to on. go to a shop (they know how to weld)

 

the slp kits do not have mufflers. they have a small resonator right behind the cat where the catcack starts. from there after, its all strait pipes.(why its so much louder then any other catback).

ya i see what you mean about the resonators i think im gunna buy the whole catback. i think im gunna buy lm2 because i wanna do headers eventually and people say lm1 sounds like crap with headers...or do you think it will be managable?

 

my dude has a 97 lt1 with longtube headers, and strait pipes all the way back. the loudest f-body i have ever seen.
