You'll need header bolts. In my case, they came with the headers, but I suppose it could depend on who you get your headers from. Mine were all 3/8ths 12 point bolts. If your headers don't come with the bolts, you'll probably also have to order header gaskets seprately also.

You could replace the header bolts with hardened allen bolts. Then you will have a lot more room to work with. Just make sure they are hardned.

Throw away the gaskets and get a good set,or use factory exhaust manifold gasket. If not youll be changin them in a few months. The hooker bolts should do fine.

Actually, the hooker headers may come with a decent gasket(my uncle got a set of Hooker super comps and they came with Mr. Gasket company grafoil gaskets). If you're looking into new gaskets, I'd more than suggest these, grafoil is about the best gasket material you can get. I'd suggest not utilizing the old manifold gaskets, in the least, go and get some Fel-pros or Mr. Gasket co. from your local Advanced Autoparts or something like that.

I ment new factory gaskets, and if they come with the paper gaskets don't use those. If you get lucky youll get the good ones.

the best header gasket i used to use were the rebuilder gaskets you got in the master gasket set, they were dark gray almost black on one side and on the other side they were chrome colored and i guess you would call them perforated because they had little holes in them.they were the best, never had one blow out and even used them over and over.they come 3 gaskets per side, not long for the whole side.i used to race 3wheelers and we would beat and pound on them all weekend long and we found out that somestock parts outlasted the aftermarket parts.trial and error is the best method unless someone that has already done this is telling you what to do.inexperience needs to learn from experience, saves alot of headache and money.
