Im a proud owner of a 1995 z28 that is bone stock, and i would like to get more horsepower out of her with out putting a ton of money into her. So what is my best buy to increase power without goin broke??? Im hopin to spend less then 1000 on her. Plz im open to any suggestions

 

There's the classic list of headers, exhaust and cold air intake. That'll give you some more ponies. There's nitrous which can be a pretty cheap way to make some good horsepower. If you want to accelerate faster and don't care too much about gas mileage you could change the rear gears to 3.73 or 4.10 or something.

 

you could start out with free mods like cutting the muffler off, gutting the cat if you dont have emissions and can stand how loud it will be , Get a CAI like SLP flow pac which is $270 off ebay or a K&N CAI but the SLP flow pac will get you the most ponys, Headers you could go with some pacesetters which are fairly cheap $200-$500 and bolt on about 10-15hp, and a progammer which depending on the applacation it could get you 5hp or 25hp.

 

intake for 300ish, headers and y pipe for 500ish, and a cat back for...oh...i wanna say magnaflow is like 350. i know that's more than you want but those are good start
