Question headers for my 67

I changed from a small block Automatic to 396 4 speed. I would like to keep the power steering, but I have heard horror stories on how you have to beat the heck out of them or you have no clearance under the car! It's not that I have unlimted funds, but I want something that looks good also, so I would rather spend the money and get the right ones the first time. Any ideas?

They do make headers that fit for 67-69 but its always the powersteering that gets in the way, You ussually do have clearance under the car it just depends on how low the car is and what the measurments are of the headers. You can call different companies and ask if it will clear or you can take it to a custom exhaust shop and get them made. Or if your good with welding and metal work make them yourself its cheaper and you can make them to how you like it. If you end up buying a brand I recommend Hooker Headers or Dynatech.
