Headers and Exhaust??

RE: Headers and Exhaust??
Your best bet on brand for a classic is going to be Hooker Super Comp headers. In order to determine the best primary size we're going to need to know your engine displacement as RMG32 has already asked for. In general:
302: 1 5/8" primary
350: 1 3/4" primary
302: 1 5/8" primary
350: 1 3/4" primary

I would suggest 1 3/4" Hooker Super Comps. They should be a coated, stainless tuned Long Tube header. They aren't cheap, but they're probably the best you're going to be able to get for your car. I would in the least recommend something that is either stainless or coated so you don't have to deal with them rusting through.

Like 95slvrZ28 said go with the hooker header super comps. I have a 69 SS 427 and I went with the long tube ceramic coded (so no rust). They cost around $750, but I went with bigger tubes. You should go with something around 1 3/4. I also went with 3" pipes w/ a set of flowmaster super 40s. The car sounds great and I am really happy with the set up. I do not think that you should got with 3" if you have a 350, 2 1/2 would probably be as big as you would want to go. Plus the three inch was harder to work with and I had to make some modifications. But I think with the sound that your looking for you def. want long tube super comps, and the mufflers you go with are up to you I just went with the flowmaster super 40s cause I liked the deeper sound and they were in my price range.
Hopefully this was a helpful for you...
~One question for you are you planning on installing everything yourself or have someone else do it?~

RE: Headers and Exhaust??
Thats cool man, the job isn't too hard I just ran into some problems with the 3 inch going over the back axle but you shouldn't have a problem with that because the 67has a bigger gap between the axle and the body. Plus if you go with 2 1/2 it will be easier to bend.
