Kooks makes them(that's what I bought...i'm just waiting for them to get to my house and it's killin' me!). They also make a nice Dual cat Y pipe that bolts up to their headers. They are a bit pricy, but they are all stainless and are really good quality.

the K&N intake is doing pretty good, 100 times better than the stock, power-stealing air box

even though it isn't directly related to the thread, I'd like to let everyone know that my headers came yesterday, and needless to say, they are awsome. The welds are very well done, they've been polished around the ports, the bends are very smooth. Overall a really nice piece, I fully recomend the Kooks LT1 headers to anyone willing to buy them, they are simply amazing.

I'm going to be installing them in a few weeks, so I can't say about the install yet. They do have all the EGR and A.I.R. hookups on them.

Default RE: headers

alright, just a little update for everyone...The install is done for day 1. The headers are in, I'm assuming it went ok for a header install, but seeing as how this is my first, I really have nothing to compare it too. It took just as much time to get all the old exhaust crap out of the way as it did to undo the motor mounts, jack up the engine and install the headers(there were 2 of us all day, and it makes the installation of the actual header reletively smooth). All I have to do now, is get both the 02 sensors hooked up, put on the A.I.R system, reattach the alternator, and exhaust clamp on the Y-pipe and get it welded into what's already there...It should all go smoothly...but you never know what you'll run into...

I also took the time to polish the stainless steel on the upper part of the headers to make them look nicer. With a good, and pretty stiff, polising wheel and some good polishing compound they shined up really nicely.
