Default Headers

Havnt been on in long while so hey guys.

(its a '99 3800)
I Have only been driving the camaro about once a week to once every two weeks, and about a month ago, it got this wierd clicking sound, but at the time my change oil light was on, so I figured it was my own stupid fault for being lazy, till recently. When I drove it agian the other day, and the clicking sound was extremely loud, louder than my exhaust system (Magnaflow and pacesetter). And just looking at the engine, I noticed where the sound was coming from, a bolt is loose and one is totally missing for where my headers connect to the block, and there is a obvious gap(small maybe 1/10th of a cenemeter) between the two. The clicking I hear whenever I give it gas, when I start it up at idle, and I barely hear it when the car is fully warm at idle.
So my question is, and I hope its the case, instead of my oil issue, could this clicking be jsut the sound of the cylinder, combustion and falling and rising, and sound is just escaping? (I feel really dumb never paying attention to it or picking up on it. so go easy on me )

Default RE: Headers

The clicking sound is probably what you think it is. Exhaust leaks make that noise. Since you know you have an exhaust leak, it would be a safe bet that's what's clicking.
