Header Question...
Ok ive had headers before but they were on my 86 Z28 that was powered by a 400 small block and i loved the way the headers made it sound, But when it comes to this Six'r I'm not sure how it's going to sound. Does anyone have any Sound clips of what headers sound like on a 3.4? I don't know if i really like the way that 6 cylinders sound when they are loud...My exhaust has a mellow sound to it. It doesn't have a V8 tone to it at all, it sounds like a suped- up 6 cylinder and thats what im going for with this car. And does anybody other than pacesetter make headers for this car?

RE: Header Question...
The V6 always has that tinny sound to it due to its design. The headers will accentuate the sound but will definately help the power, so it's a trade off. It won't sound like a V8 but it'll really sound cool for a V6.

RE: Header Question...
haha, it sounded pretty good until he revved it, and then it sounded like a chainsaw...or a Honda Z50 Mini-bike(but those things are sweet!). I believe Hooker makes headers for the 3.4 Camaro. Check www.summitracing.com for what's available, and then shop around for better pricing if you want to.

RE: Header Question...
If you got a gasket for the V-6, you could trace it out on a piece of 3/4" aluminum and make your own manifold flange. Get a "do-it-yourself" header kit and make your own set. I did that for a 2.7L Dodge Intrepid. We eventually made another one for a turbo.
