Just installed some long tube headers on my ls1 but had a pretty big problem in doing so. The guy who did the install is a friend of mine and hes a mechanic. He cross threaded the back bolt on one of the headers. Now it's gotta be dug out and re-threaded. I dropped my car off to a shop this morning, the only one that would touch it (Chevy said they wouldn't go near that problem). What am I looking at for price here? I'm thinking $500 but maybe more.

 

well since the shop probably has to take the header off, they will probably charge u for that.. but after its off that job isnt hard, its just rethreading a block is.. uncomfortable for most, bc of warranty... Ur estimate should be right, but plan for more
