Default edelbrock headers question

What is the differance between the Edelbrock TES and the shorty headers. Also I am new to the board I have been reading a lot but this is my first post. I just got a 91 RS conv. with the TBI 305. I was wondering what headers you would recomend for this? The car already has a 3inch cat back on it. The headers would need the A.I.R system and I was hoping to stay around $400 bucks.

The TES includes a mandrel bent Y pipe and headers, the shorty headers and only headers. You'll get more power if you go with the TES, just the headers wont' get you much due to a restrictive Y pipe.

Shorty headers allow you to get the benefits of higher flow over manifolds without haveing the reroute the whole header/Y assembly. If you want to technically be 100% legal in your exhaust modification, you're not supposed to be moving the cat(s), so if you go with long tubes, you have to move the cat. The shorties also go in a bit easier, you're not going to have to take out motor mounts and raise the engine at all, so it's slightly less intrusive. In my opinion, if you're in there to take out the old system, you may as well only have to go in once, so get the long tubes and install them(most emissions places won't care as long as they see cats and your car passes).
