Cold Air Intake
Hey everyone: Is there truly an advantage to a cold air intake for a 3.8L 1999 Camaro with a magnaflow cat back exhaust. Currently have a K+N air filter and lastly is the installation as easy as the manufacturers make it sound?
Thanks
Thanks

RE: Cold Air Intake
its pretty simple, me and a buddy of mine installed one on his 04 v6 mustang at the parts store in like 15 minutes. as for the power gain, dont let the ad at the top of this site fool you, it is minimal, maybe 5 hp on a stock motor

Thanks, doesn't sound like a real good investment. Looking at the engineering of it I couldn;t see what it does that would make a great difference. Looks like it could even draw more hot air into it. Thanks for the input.

ummm
Get the SLP Cold Air Induction kit, draws air from the under the radiator. Then do the free-air box mod (remove and sand down ridges in air lid) and remove the resonators replacing w/ a straight tube and that will give you a good intake system
