Default Ceramic Coatings

Looking to get Ceramic coating for new set of headers. I live in northern illinois. Suggestions welcome. I was going to send them to Jet Hot but they want $300 to coat.
I have heard where people get coatings for $150.

you can buy a set of new headers for that much.... what motor is this for?

if you are just looking to protect them and manage heat then look into header wraps.

Thanks SPECTOR. It's a 350. Prefer the look of Ceramic over wraps. Nice Bird!

a genI 350? what year/model did it come from? the old school sbc and the lt1 are both 350 CI. due to the physical dimensions of the engine bay the lt1 headers are quite a bit more expensive than some for a 2nd gen camaro or something like that..... i believe.. dont quote me

Did you already buy the plain headers? Because you might be better off price wise buying ones that are already ceramic coated. Unless the brand you want doesn't come coated?
AND, where in North Central IL are you? Those are my whereabouts too.

My family bought me a set of uncoated headers. I haven't installed them yet, they are new in the box. I can return and buy the same set coated, I just thought it would be easier to send these out to be coated.
That is a beautiful 69. I live in McHenry Illinois. I have been doing a lot of work to my 80 this summer and haven't had it out since early June.

Thanks, it looks much nicer in pictures though!
Hmmm, I'm in Cary, just east of Crystal Lake. Ch...ch...ch...ch...
About 20 minutes away from you (depending on which car I'm driving)

It's a GenII 350. Headers coated or uncoated readily available. I'm just vasalating over what to do. I am going to do an engine swap in the next year or two and wanted to reuse the headers.
Most likely will replace existing block with a ZZ4. I think the headers I have are interchangable with the ZZ4.

If you hang out at any of the area cruise nights, I'll look for your ride. I haven't been attending too many cruise nights since my Z has been up on stands for the last several weeks.
