air box question

Default air box question

I was just thinking about if a newer intake 98 up would work on my 95 with the 3.4. would it take too much work like the whole front end needs to be swapped or could it be done with the stock one?

and the 98 has what size motor? i dont think 3.4 & 3.8 are interchangable but am not sure. maybe musicman or camaro 69 will come back on this.

You'd be better off just buying a CAI for your car. There's not enough clearance under your hood for the 98+ set up anyhow. So some alterations would be in order.

i was gonna ask the same question... so K&N is a good brand? what are some other good brands that might not cost as much?

1998 firebird V6. i made that. works great and uses the SLP lid. yeah its a twist but its smooth on the inside. and has 1 rubber 90 degree so the lid can stay put when the motor is movein around like when you start it and such. i like it alot.

guess it help to read the whole forum before postin huh?.. i forget the pre 98s didnt have the box under the hood they had it tucked to the side. in that case CAI is the way to go. but for any 98 firebird guys this is what i got

Get the SLP CAI Part #SLP-21012 (that part # application is 1993 V8/1993-1995 3.4L V6 F-Body)
