Default Wont start, fuel pump?

I hooked up a dixie horn to a switch with my friend. After it locked up because we didn't put the ground on the battery. We did that then it started and died. It is getting a spark, and when we spray either it runs untill it burns it up then it dies. I don't hear a fuel pump starting but when I wait 10 minutes and try it again it will start then die. It won't even run unless I wait but it stops. Fuse is good and someone also told me about a intertia switch which I don't know where in the trunk it is. Any ideas? What is in the engine compartment that maybe we coulda knocked out to cause that

[&:] robster were gonna need to know what vehicle your talking about before we even start to try and figure this out. ford is one of thew few that thought inertia switches were a good idea. well also need to know where you tapped into power for the horns kurt

I used the terminal block 88 camaro rs 2.8.. I checked all the fuses and disconnected the horn and ground from battery to reset it. After it ran and then it died so I did it again and it kept dying then finally it ran. My uncle said that it could be drawing a lot of power or something like that and I might need a relay for it.

[8D] your uncle may be onto something. the power requirements of the horn may be pulling the power away from the components you need on the circuit you used. i wouldnt think you will need a relay to run the horns as most auto electrical circuits will hold 10 -20 amps, its your choice of where to draw the power from that sounds like it will solve your problem. do you have any auxiliary or unused circuits?? a relay is a more complicated circuit and is used for controlling a high amperage device with a low amperage circuit( i dont think the horns need this) let us know kurt

I used a terminal block which is basically connected to the positive of the battery along with the fog lights and something else which I don't know what it is yet.

alot of times factory under hood terminal blocks contain circuits, relays and fuses for the cars basic functions(computer, fuel pump, fans etc) and isnt a good place to tap power from unless its got extra or auxiliary connections. if its an aftermarket terminal block then youll have to look at its rated capacity(wire size, number of terminals) sometimes the in car fuse panel will have power taps for your use kurt
