Default Wiring carb, tach and speedo

The tach and speedo in my car both are not connected. How do I go about wiring them? Also, I'm putting in a Holley carb with an electric choke. Where should I run the positive wire? The manual suggests tapping into the windshield wiper wire, but I'm not even sure if my wipers work. Is there any sure-fire place to wire it?

Thanks,
Matt

it draws very few amps. just hook it to a wire thats hot when the key is on. the tach hooks to a hot lead and the negative side of the coil. Sick

Choke wire usualy hook to the field side of the alternator. That way it does not heat and open with just the key on. It will need the engine to run to heat it. In my 84 Camaro when I lost the alternator belt I did not notice it on the gauge because it read the batterys volts but the choke light came on.

There is already a wire connected to the stock carb choke. Can I use this wire?
